Get Up Close and Personal With The Waders (1)---Pied Avocet

Each year, thousands of Pied Avocets come to Hong Kong and spend the winter in Mai Po Nature Reserve.

When  the tide is low, sometimes they get really close to the Birdhides on the mudflats while searching for food.

Occasionally, some of them get carried away feeding right underneath my nose.

It is a privilege to be able to watch these beautiful birds so closely, and it always makes my day.

To radość oglądać te śliczne ptaki. Świetne są ich dzioby wygięte do góry. Zdjęcie z ptakami w locie jest śliczne. Pozdrawiam z Polski.

It's fun to watch these beautiful birds. Great are their beaks bent upwards. Photo of birds in flight is beautiful. I greet the Polish.

Well I understand that it made your day as the pictures are wonderful. I used to see it every day when I lived in Camargue, but now I've not seen it for years!
