A Fishing Egret

Little Egrets are often seen hunting in mudflats and wetlands in Hong Kong. However, recently I saw a Little Egret fishing in the sea from a small boat.

It reminded me of a lonely fisherman.

The Little Egret was standing patiently on the boat for ages before catching a small fish.

Although the year is new, the old fishermen return.

Obviously the photographer stood patiently for ages to capture the images of the small fish getting caught. Well done.

I've enjoyed visiting your blog. The earlier posting with the Fiddler Crabs and Mudskippers was a cracker.

Interesting shots of the egret with colourful fishing boats. I like the composition of the second one!

I've not seen Little Egrets fishing from a platform before. Some great colours in those photos, a really nice set.

Hello! Very nice pictures on the Little egret. Here in Sweden we only have Grey heron and rarely Little Egret and Great Egret. /Urban
