I thought this odd looking caterpillar was fascinating. I hope you all agree with me.
Its two huge “eyes” on each side of the body are quite scary.
This strange looking caterpillar is the larva of the Fruit-Piercing Moth, which is a serious pest in Asia. It normally rests on the underside of leaves to avoid being spotted by predators. If a threat occurs (in this case, maybe the presence of my camera), it reacts by lifting its tail and arching up its front segments.

Très belle série!
On souhaiterait voir à quel papillon elle va donner naissance!
Hey, grossartig, ein lustiges Tierchen das mit seinen "Augen" lacht...

Super sharp images congratulations.
What an interesting fellow. Macro photography helps us to find appreciation for even the peskiest critters.
Nice picture, I thought the butterfly larvae, and the image I was wondering how in the wing pattern may appear. I was wrong.
Strange because I do not really see how it can threaten predators even with these two big eyes ;-) Beautiful set and nice observation!
These shots are stunning. A very beautiful set of images. Well done.
La nature a beaucoup d'imagination! Superbe cette chenille avec ses yeux latéraux!
